Medication assisted treatment
Hi. I listened to a few episodes of your show. If you’re open to it, I would love to come on and talk about my experience of being on suboxone for almost 13 years (and counting). For me; suboxone is part of my treatment and you say “you can’t stay on it for the rest of your life.” I beg to differ. I would love to discuss. Many people with diseases are on medications for their whole lives. Diabetics who take insulin. People with thyroid issues taking synthroid. Don’t discourage people from taking something that could save their life. I have handled my issues - and continue to - and I wouldn’t have been able to without the medication. Let’s be open minded - there are many ways to get and stay clean. The bottom line is we don’t want people to die.

Lest we forget psych meds.... take this stupid episode down. Shame on you both. It’s the drugs fault, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Love this podcast. Easily able to relate to people’s past and love the fact that it is full of hope. We do recover.
