Big facts Karen. It’s one of the few medications available for the disease, to help combat it. One can be on it their entire life. Especially if it keeps them clean. The goal is to eventually step down for lots of people but the main goal for everyone is to stay clean, no matter what. Anyways l,...Read full review »

Hi. I listened to a few episodes of your show. If you’re open to it, I would love to come on and talk about my experience of being on suboxone for almost 13 years (and counting). For me; suboxone is part of my treatment and you say “you can’t stay on it for the rest of your life.” I beg to...Read full review »

As a former addict of all things for 12 years, It’s definitely obvious she knows nothing about addiction. Please know, there are no steps to get a loved one into treatment. In fact, the more family members pressure the addict, the less likely they are to get help. No one is going to want to get...Read full review »

Dear Joanie, Have you contacted Ryan Hampton to discuss his participation in this case? His book Unsettled is very telling.

I have listened to a few episodes and I’m literally stunned. This lady knows nothing about addiction or drugs for that matter. Yet she does a podcast about ADDICTION. She’s always asking them what a drug is or saying she’s never heard of that. And to top it off she rushes the guests to get to...Read full review »

The guests are lame - Nick Bush - waste of time and can barely put thoughts together. Much better addiction podcasts out there. Much.

Their argument on gateway drugs is uninformed and over generalized. Typical for the episodes in this series.

They say that marijuana is a big deal and a gateway to harder drugs, need I say any more? Clearly biased and not worth a listen.

I try to be open-minded to many perspectives, unfortunately this woman parrots some pretty bad ideas. As someone with my feet planted in two ostensibly conflicting worlds, drug enforcement and harm reduction, I see it all. Authoritarian nobody's like this woman are a dime a dozen, and should...Read full review »

Thanks to Joanie and Jason for this podcast. The format is straightforward: personal stories of hope and redemption. I learn something from each episode (I am entering my 12th year of recovery). I’ve found the show features people from many walks of life, given rein to discuss what have been...Read full review »

This is a podcast that is lacking in facts and the weight of addiction and the lives of people it effects. I didn't hear intelligence I just heard judgment. Furthermore, there's an episode about marijuana that is really upsetting due to the lack of science presented. Marijuana helps a lot...Read full review »

I’m a RN and have been listening to a few different addiction-related podcasts to help better serve the people I care for. This is by far the worst one. I’ve listened to a few episodes and can’t stand to hear any more. I’m a recovering addict and am a huge advocate of the 12 step program AA or NA. This program is Scientology based. 👎🏽also their opinion on suboxone and methadone is only their opinion. Hosts like to “poo poo” twelve step programs. I believe there are many ways to get sober but let’s not be so judgmental about them. The technology they referenced also is part of what Scientology uses. Narcanon is a Scientology based program. Not judging, Just FYI:-)
