Ep. 6 - What Even is ADHD Life Coaching & Mentoring Anyway? There's a LOT of discussion in the coaching industry at the moment, and I'm hearing from more and more people who have had crappy experiences with coaches (and some of the things said, by coaches, to people with ADHD, has been a wee bit horrifying to be perfectly honest). So today I'm creating a bit of clarity around what I actually do as a coach and mentor. I'm hoping it makes some sense to you! Here are links to the things I...

Ok. I...sort of ranted in this episode. BUT, if you know of my rants (occasionally seen on Twitter and Facebook!) you'll know this is quite a "tame" rant. Primarily because... I could just go on for DAYS, and it's very close to the bone for me. Have you ever had someone say to you, "you're so great! But you know...you might be better if you were a little bit more...something else." Yeah...it sucks. It's awful, because they've basically just told you, in a weird way, that...you might be more...

You ever walk from one room with an item in your hand, to another room and no longer have the item in your hand? Yeah, ADHD and short term memory/Memory Loss is a true bitch, no question. In today's episode, I share the personal story of...my lost Malted Milk biscuits. I'm not even kidding, because I KNOW you will relate to this one....! ALSO....I have TWO freebies for you this week! The first is a super short mini coaching course on harnessing your inner ADHD critic, via my amazing ADHD...

Welcome back to EPISODE THREE of the ADHD Life Letters! I touched on another subject which actually overlaps with last week's episode about goals - this week, it's EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION. Generally, when it kicks in, it can be crippling. We can set goals around it, but it's harder to gauge whether we have the right goals in place in order to manage Executive Dysfunction. And of course, if you have Pathological Demand Avoidance, you're in for a whole different kind of ride (but it's a ride I...

Welcome back to the ADHD Life Letters! It's Episode 2 (2!!! I did another one YAY GOALS!!!) and I'm talking about...G O A L S. Goals are often really hard for many people with ADHD. We have our To-Do lists, which rarely get looked at, or we just do a whole bunch of other stuff instead... Or...we are hit by executive dysfunction and we don't even consider thinking about the goals. THERE ARE WAYS TO GET AROUND THIS!!! I'm not saying we can beat it...although in some ways, we actually CAN....

In this episode, I talk to you about the reasons why I decided I should go for an ADHD diagnosis, including all the little (and big!) events leading up to my diagnosis. Some people prefer to NOT be diagnosed, others don't have the opportunity, whilst others prefer to self diagnose - whichever it is, all of the reasons for diagnosis (or otherwise!) are totally valid. I've often worked with people who have just been diagnosed, and are now trying to navigate their world with this massive piece...
