An oasis in the outdoor podcast desert
Too often I click play on an outdoor podcast and hear the picking of an acoustic guitar followed by an NPR-esque voice telling me about how we’re going to talk about hiking something with their guest who hiked a thing and then we spend 45 minutes talking about the guests childhood and how much the outdoors means to them before finally talking about the thing they hiked and the host saying how incredibly unique and inspiring their story is. So yeah, I like that the AJ pod is different than that. Good work.

More reviews of The Adventure Journal Podcast
I’ve been a huge fan of Adventure Journal since it was a blog and then a high quality print publication. If you love hiking, biking, surfing, skiing, camping, and more, this is definitely a podcast to follow.

The journal is spectacular. The pod is the two main writers/editors re-hashing content from the journal. They are boring to listen to week in and week out. Get some guests. I can’t imagine how this is driving subscription traffic.
