So informative!
I've been getting so many helpful tips from Anne! And her daughter adds a funny, relatable aspect to the podcast from somebody not in aesthetics. I was wondering if I could make a request for a future topic- I'm also a fellow nurse (I've been a NICU nurse for almost 15 years!). I also have a beauty review channel with a focus on skincare. I'd love to bring my love of beauty and science together and start a career in aesthetics. Could you talk more about best certifications to have before applying as a nurse injector? I've noticed there's many classes choose from such as two day injection courses, microdermabrasion, laser therapy, and chemical peels. I'd love to take them all, but this can get expensive! Are certain class/companies better than others? Also, how the heck do you convince a med spa or derm to hire you with no experience? Are there specific places that take beginners? I'd love to be at a place performing facial treatments as well as injections. Also, how do you convince someone that you're capable of injections with so little experience? I'd love to hear more stories from the beginning of Anne's aesthetic career! Keep doing what you're doing bc it's amazing! -Lauren @thehonestbeautyreview_ (2 or more kids here! 🙋‍♀️)Read full review »

I found it kind of offensive when Ben said that people who don’t have a medical license “have no schooling, and have no idea what they’re doing.” I’m a master esthetician and I DID go to a lot of school and do know what I’m doing. So that part kind of turned me off from the podcast.

When Nurses try to practice medicine traditionally practiced by physicians they open them selves up to governance by the Physician’s Medical Board. There are good reasons for LLR governance.
