I like your show, but I am going to have to stop listening if Cerebral is a sponsor : have you really looked at who they are? Under multiple investigations ( rightfully) because they prescribe irresponsibly and have shoddy professional standards .

I recognize your brilliance as a writer-comedian but, frankly, you are a second-rate politician and are definitely not a statesman. I long for signs that you actually learn something from your politically and otherwise expert interviewees. E.g. today PKrugman's most telling message was...Read full review »

Paul Krugman can explain debt ceiling issues and taxes to where even I can understand. And you’re questions were spot on too. I moved to the French Riviera last week from Chicago. Hello I really enjoy your podcast and it is interesting and provocative with great guests. My only complaint is the repetitious lame joke on every podcast that this is really good….for a change. This is not funny and is boorish and insulting much akin to some of the old David Letterman repetitive...Read full review »

Before the whole ridiculous resignation from the US Senate for doing absolutely nothing, Al continues his faux populist, neoliberal crusade here. He's very clear... our politicians are funded and bought by corporations and he thinks you'll never notice that everything else is theater!...Read full review »

Canadian fan here, it was very relieving to hear your guest Steve Schmidt lay out clearly the challenges around racial divides in the US (we have that here too). Please continue to just break it down. Love the show. Love the episodes with Dahlia. Sometimes the show is funny. Occasionally.

The answer is simple - you elected a black man. No one wants to talk about this - why is that? You are a RACIST country, white elites will not accept that they are ALL immigrants, under the very misguided illusion that they were the only colour (white) that built the country when in fact it was...Read full review »

I only recently found out about this podcast and binged the archives. Years-old episodes are still funny and worth a listen even as most subjects are rather topical.

Al has the best guests and he’s a great interviewer. I always learn something while being entertained. I love it when you say “this is a good one for a change”. Don’t ever stop saying that. Al Franken, Giant of the Senate and now champion of the podcast! I look forward to each weeks frightening, informative, and entertaining episode! Keep them coming! When you get tired of this, though, please go back to the Senate! We need you there!

Amazing podcast. Not sure if you are more valuable as a senator or as this host. Still wish I could watch you grill morons like Kavanaugh or Barrett, but this work is important, too.

Al, One idea I had, leasing to this podcast, to possible solve this issue and possible others is to establish term limits to the house and the senate. For example I will propose 3-4 terms for the house. Since the serve or get re-elected every two years. Senate should be two terms since they...Read full review »

An informative interview with Zuboff & McNamee. I appreciated McNamee pushing back against Franken’s repeated efforts to pin internet disinformation & COVID response on Trump & his pointing out the systemic & bipartisan problem.

It feels like it’s the same topic every week: how did the Republican Party become what it is today and how long they’ve been scheming. We all know by now. Talk about what we can DO about it. Also, Al needs new jokes and stories instead of telling the same ones over and over again.

This was a refreshing change from an episode of mostly opinion to one of legal facts. These two whip-smart women tell us what the law is, not what we want it to be. Thanks for inviting them, Al!

Just an awful human being, as it turns out. No woman should listen to this man, and any man who likes him should acknowledge the misogyny they like about this jerk. Alexander Vindman is a true patriot. I learned so much from him about everything going on right now. We as Americans are so lucky to have such an honorable and brilliant man in service to our country, even as we had such a horrible human being for our President. B NC

I resisted listening to this week’s episode because we are approaching Christmas which makes me miss my loved ones who have passed. I’m glad I listened, even with the tears streaming down my face, because the main message I received wasn’t about the pain of loss, but how the love stays with you.
