“Always been a fan of deconstructing albums, be they a commercial success or lesser know gem. I find the insight from Steven & Tim genuinely illuminating in that sense.
Just going back over some old pods and delighted to find Mansun and 6 get a mention. I was 17 in 1998 and the world of music was really starting to open up. Discovering albums like piper at the gates of dawn or fragile via progressive modern stuff like Mansun was a huge joy and I was delighted to see that album wasn’t only on my radar.
I’m a big fan of Steven’s solo work in particular and have always appreciated his steadfast determination to think deeply about everything that goes into constructing an album of any genre.
