Why the BBC isn’t begging him to come back I do not know.

A real treat to hear Andy Kershaw sharing his passion for music once again. I haven't listened to Andy present a music show for a long time but he's hit the ground running and its as if he never stopped. So much great music that seemed to have lost its platform after Andy depated from the...Read full review »

How many years is it since I last listened to Andy Kershaw on Radio One? I dread to think. Decades have gone by. Vividly remember listening to Ted Hawkins first time round with my brother. Cracking music, worth paying for.

Not only does Andy play some great music but he also always has something interesting to say about the backgroud to the songs or some related anecdote about the singers. This is the kind of podcast where you want to sit down and pay attention to it. I'm a fan!Read full review »

Only recently came across this podcast from the brilliant Kershaw. I can’t put it down. The range of musical genres is like no other show and it’s bloody great to hear his dulcet Lancastrian tones once more.

I’ve always been an ardent admirer of Mr Kershaw from the days of taping an entire Radio 1 show, then retaping all the records I liked (oh for the days of the double cassette boom box). From the man who introduced me to, in no particular order, Nick Drake, Kevin Coyne, Radio Freedom, Baaba Maal,...Read full review »

A radio show with soul and sprit, no recipes for cleansing the soul or making bread or reading poetry, just music with amusing and informative chat in between. Half man half biscuit for guests can’t be bad either. Perhaps that 6 music or radio 3 should take notice before it forces other good...Read full review »

I have always loved Andy and love him even more with this new series of podcasts … the most informative and passionate DJ on the ‘radio’ long may he reign … and, living in Hebden Bridge, it’s good to know Andy is beaming this magical stuff out from down the road in Tod!

Music shows really do not get any better than this! Gorgeous selections obviously curated with true love & passion. If at least 70% of Andy’s choices don’t lift your spirits, you need to have a serious word with yourself. Restores your faith in music & those that love it!

I just found this. It’s great to hear Andy back on such fine form and doing what he does best. Wide range of fine tunes and a first class kitchen table gig from the Oldham Tinkers. Andy’s snippets of information after each track are detailed, fascinating and funny. He ‘wears his learning...Read full review »

African, Celtic, English, Mexican, USA, European music and so much more - all interspersed with informative comments and entertaining musings. It’s like radio used to be - great music played by a knowledgeable DJ with a genuine love for the material he plays. The best thing to come out of...Read full review »

This is brilliant and a real tonic, a great return from “Our Andrew” regaling us with tales of of his travels and bringing to us music from far away shores in a time when serious travel is restricted. Thank you Andy

Andy has turned me on to so much new music over the years. Same here - as he says in his opening - “now, where were we…” Great to have him back - does what it says on the tin. Thanks Andy - more please.

Compared to 15 years ago, I hardly listen to music anymore. That’s in many ways due to having lost my guide, Andy Kershaw. His return has brought fantastic music back into my life! The vibrancy and intelligence of Andy’s insights and style is as refreshing as it always was. If you used to listen...Read full review »
