My favorite actual play podcast
I love Shadowrun and have for a long time. I was happy to find this podcast, because not only are the players fun to listen to, but Mr. Johnson keeps the reins firm on the group, so there's not too much out-of-game talk. Either that or his editing is amazing. Or both! The missions are always interesting and occasionally bizzare (hello, deep runs), but the players always keep things moving forward. The characters are an odd mix, but somehow, it works. I was super glad to start listening when they were already many, many episodes deep on the actual play, so I could listen on drives or at work. I have never played shadowrun before well besides the old Sega game. And caught this one a random search. And I’m glad I did the tales of Maverick and the gang has been epic to say the least. Crunchy system seems so easy with Mr Johnson running it. Great stuff and fun 👍👍
