I really enjoyed this podcast even though it was hard to listen to at times. I loved the fact that it was so to the point and not repetitive. Some podcasts rehash the same info over and over. This one doesn’t. Owen Bennett-Jones reported it so well and his voice is perfect. Thanks for all your...Read full review »

This was a piece of journalism right from the top tier. Brilliantly produced and put together, the unique cultural and political context explained brilliantly for the ordinary Joe. Although a tragic tale, it’s not one devoid of hope as Benazir Bhutto defiance and fortitude will remain a source...Read full review »

What a well-researched, well-told story about a brave woman and a politically corrupt state.

This is the gold standard of podcasts. Absolutely perfect reporting of an absolutely horrific story.

An excellent piece of investigative work. Methodical. It also highlights mendacity of Pakistan’s populace, how inured have they become to jihadi attacks and every section of society is complicit.Unfortunate but true. Terrorist infrastructure has to be kept intact come what may

RIP Bhutto . The Lady deserved much better! Capital Investigative reporting!

This is a condescending white man’s description of a part of Pakistani history. Parts of the podcast are interesting but the presenter is someone who has the sensibilities of a colonial time.

Excellent podcast, although I didn’t agree with implication ‘Sarensar’ movements were suspect, he doesn’t run his hand across his throat, he is avoiding a camera to his right and is just habitually holding his throat, feeling awkward at is intrusion into the shot , you can then see him leaning...Read full review »

For someone that was not real familiar with the assassination. I found this to be very informational!! I think the reporter did an excellent job of investigating and reporting on those investigations. I definitely better understand what went on and how her assassination came about. Great job to...Read full review »

A very important piece of Pakistans history. Would have given 5 stars but for the annoyingly pompous narration by the journalist . Second star docked for sticking with age old prejudices and biases when it comes to adopting a position towards Pakistan . Why not let journalism speak for itself ?...Read full review »

Over the top there is no mystery it does not matter who was responsible because at the time the whole country was getting blown to bits by terrorist it’s was extremely naive of her to return to Pakistan to take charge where she had already failed the people 2 times in a county which is so corrupt...Read full review »

Very important story to preserve for history and document fully. I’m listening in 2021, and have no concern that it was released in 2018 and thankful that I found it. The assassination was unconscionable and should be solved and prosecuted fully. Nevertheless, I do believe that Bhutto and her...Read full review »

Another woman killed . I guess it’s even more common place in countries where civil rights for all are sketchy .Terrifying to be born into a country that has a fledgling actual ‘justice’ system. This podcast was really interesting and sad. I learnt so much from this and would recommend it to teens and adults. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars was because I was slightly confused about the outcome. Still, it was still good.

It’s very good, informative and moving. Highly recommended. There’s a little bit too much of the presenter and his activities. But listen and learn.

I’m new to non sports podcasts, in fact this is my first non sports podcast I’ve listened to. It was so engaging and loved how live interviews and real sound was incorporated. This kept it interesting, the length was right to, not too overwhelming.
