Amazingly terrible that is. it’s a sad thing to hear people. They call themselves pastors sounding no different than someone who open the hates God. God is holy, and he will show his holiness through his people.

When this podcast was called “BadChristian” it went through several phases; it felt pretty vital when all the hosts were talking through the fallout of their involvement with megachurches. The format and seeminly the purpose of the podcast really faltered when one of the hosts left due to a...Read full review »

Being emergent and hating your parents was cool 10 years ago, but now that I’m in my 30’s I realize that this podcast really doesn’t have anything to offer, and that John Cooper might actually be on to something.

It used to be two dudes rambling with a pastor that kinda grounded them into something of substance. Now it’s just two dudes, one aggressive and arrogant, with no substance. Maybe time to change the name of your podcast?

Listened to the Craig Gross podcast, I used to be a fan of his, he was a blessing to me and really appreciated his work on the frontlines. I really appreciated the hosts of this podcast letting him talk. I wish they pulled him up when he started going a bit off the reservation criticising Rick...Read full review »

Absolutely lame. It took over 45 minutes to get to the John Cooper commentary. I listened to the three guys cackle on and on and on and on …. I was hoping for some intelligent thoughts about how they disagreed with John. Which I do disagree with John on certain things. Anyhoo, I will not tune in...Read full review »

The incessant laughing is literal nails on a chalkboard. Oh my gosh, I am literally in shock how bad this is. I tried to muscle through because I love the idea of the podcast but I’m tapping out 🥴.

First, the podcast started with a sex toy ad (seriously), and the hosts dropped f-bombs throughout. Fine, but don’t label this “clean” with that content. Second, I tried to listen to a particular topic that was about 1 hour 20 minutes long, and the hosts hadn’t started even started talking...Read full review »

Please rethink saying things like “Mike Driscoll sees the Bible clearer than I do” and “We need Mike Driscoll” when so much of his theology, the policies and structures he enacted, and actions towards others was monstrously sexist, misogynistic, manipulative, and abusive to everyone.

Nothing about this feels like people who actually go to church and striving to be more like Jesus. Sad to see this so highly rated. Show how watered down the Bible is becoming.

I was lost in my walk with the Lord until I came across this podcast. It has transformed my life and really encouraged me in my faith, including my prayer life, my perspective on church and miracles. When the podcast started, I loved it. But things have gone majorly south since Joey left, and I wasn’t surprised to see Reva followed soon afterwards. This podcast has gone from 3 guys having honest conversations about things that needed to be challenged in the church to 2 jaded guys who take every opportunity to blast and tear down the church. Listened for a few years but I won’t listen again.

Listened to this because John Cooper was on and it will be the only episode I listen to. The John Cooper interview was fine, but whoever the lady that was on before?! Interesting take in the reviews by many Christians. I miss the days of thinking I had everything figured out and was following Christ. I really enjoy how they banter. I’m glad how they are not afraid to use profanity and talk like a group men to break down a certain barrier you often find in church. I’m pretty addicted to this podcast. It is fun to hear them break out of their fundamentalist upbringing. I just wish they knew mainline denominations existed (UCC, PC(USA), ELCA, UMC, Episcopal Church). The “I don’t vote” thing, though, is insane, dangerous, and nothing to put on blast.
