Andrew O’Hagan is superb in the scripting, at the microphone, on the road in interviews and in handling the vast amount of detail. This stands out from much else by virtue of being compelling as a ‘story’, with a staggering cast, and a proper unravelling of government cynicism and lies. Congratulations to the production team.

A desperate rehash of an old non-story, complete with “Young Ones” style anti thatcher propaganda. Of course the navy didn’t want details of a sub engagement in the midst of the Cold War picked over in public and I believe even the Captain of the Belgrano thought the story laughable at the time.

I enjoyed the first few episodes that told the story of the Belgrano sinking using the diary of the Supply Officer of the Conqueror.
