Love
I love this podcast. It’s everything I needed!!!! I was intuitive eating but didn’t know I was but also I was extremely conflicted with my choice to eat intuitively. I’ve never been on diets however I was restricting food and eating less than my body needed also I would feel guilty eating “unhealthy food”. I started healing my relationship with food years ago in bits by mostly understanding nutrition and when I did I understood how certain foods made me feel hence I would make my choice based on how I feel but I would seriously under eat and my weight would fluctuate because I would eat less and eat more interchangeably. I always thought to be at a certain weight I needed to eat less and move more but I got tired of that and months ago I decided to eat intuitively and it has been amazing. Now that i understand the choice I made I appreciate the process. I have zero guilt eating foods I enjoy that aren’t completely nutritiously dense and I also enjoy my nutritious foods. I have more energy when weight training (which I enjoy) and I’ve been consistent cause I have been feeding enough hence I have the energy to get through workouts and recover fast. I love my body as is!!! Yes there was weight gain and then followed by a loss and I don’t know how my body will respond next cause I am eating complete meals but I know it has to trust that I will feed it consistently. I may gain or lose but I don’t care what happens because I love how I feel. I would get terrible migraines and after eating enough food they stopped. I’m choosing my content wisely and my friends too no one is worth my esteem. Some women and men make you feel like you need to change your body to fit some stigma society has created. I am a plus size musician so you can imagine the pressure to look a certain way. I am a self Love advocate so if anyone starts conversations around diets, weight loss, obsessive exercise I’m not listening. I love where I am at. I exercise when I have the energy and I take a week off when on my period and I’ve been consistent for close to 8 months and those days I don’t want to train.
