Amazing and shocking to hear how so many signs were disregarded and ignored. Gavin Esler does a great and important job.

Very interesting, profoundly disturbing realizations, superb program!

There is some interesting stuff here but there is lots of intro and outro repetition. Also the episodes are short. As a result it all comes across as being pre processed and condescending. Very BBC. Shame.

Superb unpacking of a 20 year heist and the collective trauma of a gaslit nation.

As a Russian, hearing the full scale of what Putin has done to this country is painful, confronting and infuriating. A brilliant job of speaking to different sources and telling the story in a clear and understandable way.

Great story, I would rate it much higher but each episode repeats way too much material from previous episodes. Do they think we are so dumb, we can’t even recall simple details of the story? It is a podcast, if we can’t recall a detail we are able to go back and replay parts of previous episodes.

This well balanced, clearly structured and detailed analysis of Putin’s Russia and its relationship with the world offers a deeper understanding of both historical context and attitudes towards history, delivered by a top panel of experts from history, economy and politics both inside and outside...Read full review »

This podcast is interesting. But having grown up in a country in what the US classes as its backyard, I can’t avoid thinking about the similarities between what Mr. Esler accuses the Russians of doing & what the US has & continues to do around the world. Interfere with elections in other...Read full review »

Yet again, another podcast that attempts to “shed light” on the Russian conspiracy theories that are on mainstream media. It doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you’re on, steer clear of the faux concern of people and podcasts such as this. It can all be summed up with American exceptionalism...Read full review »

I’ve heard about the Russia 🇷🇺 and Ukraine 🇺🇦 stand-off. Last time I looked they have over 120,000. Just insane insane insane

Like listening to a constant trailer. Otherwise, content is great. But honestly, the constant music is making me consider abandoning it

I really enjoyed this podcast, it was well researched and had excellent guests. Unfortunately it fills quite a bit of every episode with information and quoted already contained in the previous episode. You will often hear quotes 3-4 times.

It was pretty interesting until around episode 7 or 8 when they started saying “Trump promoted sexual assault on women”. 🤦🏼‍♂️ So don’t waste your time. The ending is stupid.

Fascinating factual story. BUT this epic tale is camouflaged by the shows attempts to be an epic podcast. More silence to convey the content please. Incessant introductions and mood music distracts and obfuscates the content. More detail, less repetition, much improved editing is desperately...Read full review »

The interviews with victims cannot be denied by any critic of this podcast - a criminal state run by criminals. There is some repetition of interviews / quotes /facts which is a little disappointing as there is sufficient evidence in the public domain to fill 100 episodes.

Gavin Esler takes funding from Yukos shareholders and uses them to line up the usual cast of characters with an axe to grind against Russia. Any anti-Russia story that features Bill Browder should automatically set alarm bells ringing for veracity. Almost all of the accusations and arguments...Read full review »

Great content in general. Alex Gibney’s documentary is worth a watch if you enjoyed this. Production: No need for the repetitive intro at almost 2 minutes per episode. I know what I’m listening to I don’t need to be told every 20 minutes. Clips of the next episode at the end of each current...Read full review »

Each episode would be better if you went into more detail on each point. Snippets of each topic do not explain what happened enough. Stop editing and just let the story play out!!
