“This show constantly displays the worst attributes of the black community. From the willful ignorance of DJ Envy, to the constant hate speech of Charlemagne cloaked as "jokes", and the complacency of Angela it displays the lowest kind of scum. There was a point I thought the show had grown, in the wake of Donald Trump I assumed they would take more care to use their platform for better, but I'm constantly disappointed. Between the last weeks interviews where the guys gloated at the constant misogynoir hurled at Angela Yee from Rick Ross, them being so vehemently against R Kelly (rightfully so) but in the same breath laughing at Ross' statements that if he signed a female artist he would be entitled to sex; to them inviting Transgender pioneer Janet Mock who so graciously answered their ignorant questions on her womanhood, then using her as a prop for tasteless jokes. The tipping point was Lil Duval openly calling for the murder of trans women to the laughs of all the host, why would you promote that? Why would you air that now with all the issues trans women of color are facing in this political climate and their high mortality rate at the hands of BLACK MEN, which Janet so graciously informed them of. This show is sick and should have no place in our community, I'll gladly be shifting my support to Sway in the morning in HOT 97”Read full review »
