I came for the nerdy stuff, but stayed for the content
Being a bit of a nerd, I was pulled in by the episodes about 80s cartoons and The Wire/Sopranos, but Chris and Sumit are funny, intelligent guys and I could listen to them talk about anything. And I do, with subjects ranging from Social Media, ageing, Hip Hop, peer pressure, “testicle festivals”... The whole concept is to dig deeper into whatever topic they’re on (hence “breaking atoms” - get it!?) and every episode has me thinking about what points I’d want to throw into the mix... like, I want to be involved with the debate. It’s great listening to their points and counter-points, but really it’s the banter and the interaction between the hosts, and the mysterious Darnel behind the scenes, that make this a next-level podcast.

These hosts are really fun to listen to and manage to cover a lot of ground without feeling disorienting to listen to. I liked the Mistrust the Process episode because they really dive into the topic but also have fun with the format.
