Description
Endometriosis and Using Personal Experience for Work with Dr Kirsty HarrisWelcome to the Business of Psychology podcast. Today's episode is the final episode in our series about different ways of working. It's an unusual one for me, as Dr Kirsty Harris isn't here talking about her private work. In fact, she doesn't even have a private practice. But she has written a much needed book about endometriosis and how to support your mental health if you know or suspect that you have the condition. I'm really glad to be concluding this series with Kirsty's story as I found our conversation enlightening, but also troubling, as this is another example of a group that isn't receiving the support that they deserve from public services, and it's a really great example of how our work as mental health professionals can make a big difference, even when it's outside our official role.
