“Great Fun! I’d never read any Lovecraft, but this podcast sucked me in with its mix of “true” crime style investigative reporting, and the creeping sense of something otherworldly happening. The writing is absorbing, appropriately dark with flashes of wit, and the cast do a wonderful job. It seems unfair to single out just one, but Nicola Walker deserves special credit for handling lengthy pieces of exposition without ever letting the energy flag.
Will definitely be re-listening. I just hope they get around this “third and final season” nonsense. We need more! After all … we haven’t even heard mention of Cthulhu yet. (I may not have read any Lovecraft, but some things are just so strongly in the cultural consciousness!)”
