Charles Cooke is very witty and dry about absurd claims made by the left, but also open to discussing real divides in conservative philosophy. Great variety of guests, including Sonny Bunch- great cultural critic!

Great to actually hear a proper debate. Thanks

I love the bizarre opening of each show, and have now figured out that each one will end with some joke at Luther Abel’s expense. If Mad Dogs and Englishmen had to go, this is a good replacement. Where else can you listen to two former Englishmen talk for an hour about how much they love America?

Excellent! I’m a Wyoming listener and enjoy listening immensely, but this one is so good. Yep, Mr. Cooke, read St. Paul!!

Episode 56 may well be the best discussion to which I have ever listened. Thank you, Charlie!

I always listen. Every episode is excellent. These two were exceptional.

This episode was terrific. A different focus from the usual political fare, but it was great to hear a thoughtful, respectful discussion of religion between two intelligent people with different perspectives but a commitment to understanding each other’s thinking.

I have no interest in sports, but episode 51 helped me to understand—a bit—those who do. I felt sympathy for their disappointments where before I would have only felt that they were very silly indeed.

Episode 50 was absolutely brilliant and hilarious!!! If you haven’t already listened please do so especially if your sports team has failed you in the past and you felt pain and heartbreak!

Long time listener and admirer here. Today I listened to “Charles GPT” - your guest spoke SO fast and SO mumbly that 80% of his commentary was incomprehensible. Sounded like he was speaking through helium at 2.5 x speed with marbles in his mouth. PLEASE coach your guests ahead of time about...Read full review »

Love the podcast. Love Charlie (the ,rueful podcast on sports disappointments being a uniquely creative episode). *But* his rant on politics being boring under Trump was, unfortunately, as boring, and as trite, as the subject.

Very well produced and interesting. I appreciate hearing Charles' discussion of serious topics and his humorful approach to the less-than serious.Read full review »

Charlie is smarter than you and me. Most of his guests are too. You’ll leave each show smarter.

Charlie Cooke’s guests are far outside the usual political podcast guests and offer truthful, refreshing perspectives that voters simply need to hear. More of this please!

Best right-leaning podcast in terms of being entertaining and well-produced. Don’t always agree with Charlie, but he is always fun to listen to and brings generally solid and mature arguments to the table.

I love this podcast and his writing. My only complaint is there’s not a podcast every week.

Greatest podcast ever , I would definitely subscribe to a Charles Cooke Radio Play (CCRP) Podcast.

Charlie: “It’s still a problem, so what do we do about it?” Guest on “Decriminalizing problem”: “Just keep doing what we’re doing…see the problem w/progressives is…” This is the white-hot intellectual discourse you’ll find here. 👎

Thoughtful, well reasoned and articulate. One of very few voices that are actually worth listening to on politics.

I don’t agree with everything Charlie says, but I think he is one of the deepest & most interesting thinkers in the political/philosophical space today. He also introduces the audience to all sorts of interesting guests. Worth the listen!

The only thing keeping me from descending into hourly panic attacks and a generalized sense of existential dread is this very podcast — and its wonderful guests.

Great guests (who are allowed to present their own positions) and humorous intros make for a consistently worthwhile listen.

I really do love this show. Started listening to Charles CW Cooke when he was doing Mad Dogs and Englishmen. Followed him to this podcast and am never disappointed. Listen if you want to hear both sides of a question and a positive view of America.

Started listening to Mad Dogs and Englishmen many years ago because I was a fan of Kevin D. Williamson’s writing but quite quickly I found myself drawn to Cooke. I began reading him and was hooked. Charlie is in my top five favorite conservative thinkers. And podcasting is really his format. Kevin is a delight, so Mad Dog’s and Englishman (Charlie’s previous podcast) will always have a place in my heart. Or is his brain just really, really big? Charles is one of the best interviewers, always prepared, and the podcasts are very enlightening. And the intro bits can be very funny and clever. Keep up the good work!

Charles is simply one of the best interviewers I have encountered. His questions are thoughtful and probing, he gives the interviewee a chance to respond at length without interruption, and he is unfailingly polite, even when he disagrees with his guest.

In my opinion one of your best episodes coming from someone that believes there may be a god but has a lot of questions whether Jesus was actually the son of God
