Have missed these guys the last couple months. Live in California and don’t get the London jokes but find myself laughing regardless. Hoping they’re taking a winter break and will be back at it soon!

My rating has plummeted since listening to these mad lads but at least I can pretend I’m British now

Just listening to this as a prelude to the World Chess Championship - absolutely brilliant: clear, concise, clever and funny. Definitely going to listen to more.

If you enjoy chess you’re going to love around three minutes of each episode. Strangely, I always end up staying for the rest. My favourite podcast. Absolutely adore the thing. Thanks for putting out episodes, boys.

Having started chess in the chess boom and wanting to learn more, this is a great glimpse into the chess world, unpretentious and interesting

Fantastic dynamic trio of complementary hosts. Great balance of being informative and diving into the curious world of chess, both current and historical. A must listen for casual and fanatical a chess players.

Great podcast, really good for those who are new to chess and want to learn more. The guys are fun, know there stuff and don’t ramble! that is my pet hate in podcasts. They often stray into other areas but I find that interesting too. no fluff, good editing - more please!

This is a great podcast that manages to both entertain and inform while never feeling staid or dull. Jon, Phil and Chris are fun hosts and the banter is really enjoyable. It is principally about chess (news, games, studying, etc.) but the podcast touches on a variety of other topics and, much...Read full review »

As the subject of chess runs the risk of seeming a little dry., this podcast’s expert handling with humour and engaging chat is superb. Taking the angles of strong chess players with good experience in teaching the game, and an enthusiastic amateur on a journey of improvement, The Chess Pit...Read full review »

I picked up chess about a year ago and one of the fellas on the podcast has also recently started. It’s great to hear him ask questions that I relate to as a beginner. Super fun group of guys.

Perfectly pitched- you don’t need to know much about chess to enjoy the podcast, as they do such a good job of making it relatable and understandable. Always a relaxing and funny listen.

Great to hear this fun, relaxed and sometimes even informative chess podcast. It’s very welcome! It has such a different vibe to the other existing chess podcast(s) and it’s a joy to hear their genuine pleasure and love for the game shining through.
