Better than What's in Last Place
I love Columbo and I always want to hear what other people have to say - little details or theories that will make my next viewing more interesting. Steve and Sean don't prepare very well, and seem to be a little bit buzzed, so they can't remember points in the story line that they supposedly reviewed before recording. They also know little about the era during which these shows were filmed and often sound very dumb. i.e.,Japanese gardeners in Los Angeles during the 70's, which they think were racist in the CASTING, as if it weren't a cultural thing, similar to Hispanic gardeners in later decades. However, they do occasionally have some interesting comments and they are good humored. One huge mistake recently: they reviewed "Mrs. Columbo" which had nothing to do with the original Columbo except the name. Then one of them started trashing Shera Danese, Peter Falk's wiodow, who did not appear on Mrs. Columbo, but DID have some comic roles on the Columbo series. This was in reference to a loud and nasty (and one-sided) public attack by Peter Falk's daughter on her step-mother after Falk's death. Miss Falk was never on any show. The Mrs. Columbo show had no relation to the Columbo show. Shera Danese was Falk's legal wife for 30 years and his guardian in his last days. Sean (or Steve) accused her of 1. being a terrible actress (which is a fair review although I think she was delightful in her lightweight roles). The show used many actors repeatedly in small and large parts) and 2. Not taking proper care of her husband in his latter days) no evidence at all; slanderous to Ms. Danese who is still alive; and irrelevant to a podcast about an entertainment show that had no relation to Peter Falk, his estate or any member of his family. For second wives who have been caught between their husbands and his estranged children, I had to say this was unneccesary and very ugly.Read full review »

This is such a fun podcast to listen to. I’ve been listening immediately after each episode of Columbo and love to listen to Steve and Sean breakdown the show each time. They are always funny and engaging.

Wholeheartedly recommend these two guys, very funny. Keeps up the feelgood reviews of this great show after the two others have packed it in.

I've been a Columbo fan since I was a kid, watching the episodes at first run. These guys do a nice job of keeping things light and entertaining, going deep enough into each episode to satisfy someone who knows the episodes well. I'm only a dozen or so episodes into the 'cast, as...Read full review »
