Description
In this episode Rob and Tim discuss the difference between PNR and ANR headsets. Different models of headsets are discussed as well as headsets Tim and Rob have used and currently use while flying in the private jets they operate. A case study of an aircraft incident involving a crew that took off without a clearance is covered with tips and advice to NOT get into a situation like the one described. After listening to the incident, what would you do? The dreaded holding pattern is also talked about along with how we do holds, pilot workload, and what other decisions might have to be made while holding, or what can be done besides holding. As always, there is an ATC tip from a retired Air Traffic Controller dealing with IFR operations and an airplane buying tip from Ryan McGill of McGill Aviation.
