“As an avid podcast listener, and life-long student of anything Fortean, I am always on the hunt for new shows to entertain and inform. So, when I learned about this one, through reading old MU articles by Rob Morphy, I had to check it out.
The problem with the pool of cryptid podcasts is that they suffers from poor production quality, lackluster group dynamics, and worst of all, repetitive topics. Luckily, The Cryptonaut Podcast suffers from none of these symptoms. The solid three-man crew are entertaining, and often hilarious, playing off of one another very well. Add in a great theme and you already have a solid podcast.
What separates this podcast apart from the vast majority is its topics. I love the obscure cryptids that have already made an appearance, including an all-time favorite, the Loveland Frogmen complete with wands. What's even more enjoyable is discovering new topics that have somehow evaded me after twenty-five years of study. This fact has propelled The Cryptonaut Podcast into my top five shows to follow and have been suggesting it to anyone with similar interests. Keep up the good work, guys.”Read full review »
