Great Podcast
I love Ryan and his works. I find that he packages up the very deep and intense works of the Stoics and delivers meaningful, and more importantly, useful content to help those who are drawn to the philosophy practice it more effectively. He is prone to failing at what he preaches like we all are. He far too often ‘does not begin to speak until he is certain what he is about to say would be better left unsaid’ as Cato would recommend. The podcast is far too peppered with his own Political beliefs. Most of which I agree with, but are unnecessary and always feel out of place due to his reliance on being polarizing and over dramatic. He also has a clear disdain for those of a certain political ilk. It is those people he recently asked to unsubscribe, don’t need you, don’t want you. A Stoic would practice to seek out those whom they disagree with and have a discussion. In fact, that discourse would be far more impactful to a Stoic than hearing themselves proselytize to a room of believers. That aside, and on the whole, I refuse to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I cannot judge a man for his actions as I have not lived in his skin. I can however choose how I react to his actions. And after much reflection, that action is to take the time to give him a five star review, despite the prickly bits. He is doing good work with this Podcast and no doubt has changed many lives for the better including in some way my own. I look forward to future episodes and will continue to follow Ryan on his journey as I travel my own road.

More reviews of The Daily Stoic
Ryan provides a great short piece daily that allows oneself to reflect on a particular attribute throughout the day. By making these small strides of consciousness and intention daily, I already find my self more humbled and focused. Great podcast for those that strive to improve their person.

This podcast is part of my normal morning routine. I would give it 5 stars if not for the liberal bias and sales pitch at the end of every podcast. Why not bash radicalization overall and not just “right wing” radicalization.
