“This is definitely insightful. McWilliams is a smart and eloquent communicator and has a way of communicating sometimes complex issues in an understandable. His guests are typically also very interesting.
My only criticism (and it’s relatively minor) would be the inane, almost surreal “banter” he shares with his co-host. It’s a truly odd kind of “banter” too; I grew up in the same area of Ireland as McWilliams (albeit I’m around a decade younger) and haven’t heard anybody from anywhere in Ireland, let alone that specific area, use some of the terminology they use in at least 20 years. Really odd. There’s really no need for it in the podcast. It’s not offensive in any way, don’t get me wrong, it’s just more kind of crap and almost childish to be honest”
