“What people say is true. This is partly true but mostly fiction. But I listen to podcasts without expectations. I’m just in them for fun, and this was a really fun listen. Especially the parts about Satanic Grimoires and secret Satanic cults that believe in actual Satan and not real Satanists who are atheistic. (Seriously, card carrying Satanists are atheists).
I’d like a follow-up podcast like done by a doctor. I found it really hard to believe that nobody suspected Tommy Sullivan of having a brain tumor. The sudden mood changes, the hallucinations, the crippling anxiety are all symptoms of a rapidly growing brain tumor. So, I would have liked to hear about this story from a doctor’s point of view.
If it wasn’t a brain tumor, then the boy was obviously suffering from schizophrenia or another hallucinatory mental disease. Anyway, this happened in 1988, and America back then was still very superstitious so lots of people were still blaming demons rather than ACTUAL demons like brain tumors or brain hemorrhages. The boy was a wrestler for goodness sakes. He could have easily gotten some brain damage from that.
Regardless of the lack of scientific possibilities, the podcast was super enjoyable. I love a good demon story. But they are just that… stories.”
