“I loved the first couple of episodes but after that I wasn’t a fan at all. The majority of the podcast is speculation based mostly on satanic/demonic possession. The podcast does a poor job of addressing other theories for reasons and/or causes for Tommy to commit the horrible act against his mother and himself, other than satanic and/or demonic possession. The episode where the narrator shares what happened that night from Tommy’s perspective is all speculation and is a great story for a campfire, but is not based in actual investigation or facts, and it was frustrating to hear. There are so many areas the narrator could have researched to gain more perspective, but it seems like he was really only interested in the possession theory. It sounded like it was written by someone who lived during the satanic panic and believed it all, not someone who should be educated enough to know that the satanic panic was based mainly off of propaganda and legends that are unsubstantiated.. Definitely not a true crime podcast.”
