So much plot, suspense, buildup… for what?! absolutely nothing First the good- the plot was intriguing. The setting was interesting. The voice acting was great. It was so easy to binge this series. The author did a great job weaving the story together but the end is a frayed mess. I really...Read full review »

This series seemed like it would be great. Sadly the titles don’t match, the intros don’t match, too much dead air that you have to check if the episode is finished. The constant “I love you” seems like a sub for lack of ideas to put into words. Very disappointed in this and I’m not even sure I...Read full review »

What a great podcast! Excellent story telling and well acted. I couldn’t stop listening.

this show stands out as a super stylized- twisted take on the 1950s advertising culture trope!!! the main characters devolve morally as they “surrender “ to their erotic attraction. yet their stir is a story within a story with the “lunatic wife” at home, a harbinger for the naive secretary’s...Read full review »

The sound design and voice acting is actually really amazing. If I was judging by these factors alone I would have rated 5 stars. The plot was so promising. The stilted and twisted way the story is portrayed should have really worked for this narrative, but there was no point to any of it. Yes,...Read full review »

I started listening to this because my name is Andrea and while it was well done, I'm so glad I've finished the season. It was just impossible to like these characters and it was painful to listen to a lot of the time.Read full review »

Duuuude I am obsessed with this show! The music and the writing are absolutely pristine. The main characters are so loathsome that sometimes it can be hard to listen without wanting to cuss out a wall, but that’s a testament to how effective the writing is. I’m recommending it to everyone! (Also,...Read full review »

THIS CHICK GETS GASLIGHTED SO HARD. I can't tell you how many times I thought "This chick is dumb as hell..." and "...please tell me she's not seriously fallilng for that line..." I laughed out loud so many times! But then I realized that we all know at least someone that...Read full review »

I was born in the 60’s, but love the life of Andrea. I have listened to the 1st season and here is my thinking. Richard need a strong woman like me to tell him No. Richard would do what I say. I’m not usually drawn to fiction podcasts (I’m a true crime fan), but I heard some buzz that this story had a domestic violence aspect that intrigued me. I binged the first episodes and now impatiently wait for the next ones. Strong storyline, good voice actors, and clear sound design.

A great perspective from a female secretary’s point of view. Tho it could use more interaction between more characters/voice actors for my taste, I was totally held interested and entertained by the development of this story.

THE DIARIST is a frank and emotional look at the darkness within the human heart. Some have compared it to MAD MEN crossed with one of the classical romance novels like JANE EYRE or WUTHERING HEIGHTS. I don't think that goes far enough. It's a frank exploration of what happens when love...Read full review »

This podcast is a lot more like an audiobook than a podcast. The voices are great. The story is compelling. I just listened to Episode One and was swept away into another time and another world: 1950's Manhattan. Wow! I hate aging myself, but here I go. When I was young, I used to get tapes from the library and listened to radio shows of yesteryear.
