“I thought I was happy with the Survivor podcasts in my lineup, until I discovered this one. The Dom & Colin Podcast is has potential to become my favorite Survivor podcast ever! All the other podcasts seem like child's play compared to this one. This podcast has the best Survivor player interviews that I've ever heard. The interviews are IN-DEPTH, detailed and long.
I've only listened to the episodes where they interview Sophie and Cochran, so I don't know what the other episodes are like when they don't have a Survivor guest. But essentially, the Survivor contestant will spend 2 hours going over EACH DAY they spent on the island--analyzing every decision/vote they made, revealing true motivations, discussing strategic scenarios they encountered and telling us what moves/conversations/motivations we weren't shown on TV. If you are a Survivor super fan, you will find these interviews completely riveting. The 2 hours will fly by and you'll be sad when it's over.
One thing I really enjoy about the former Survivor interviews is that the majority of their time is spent discussing THEIR season, not the current season. Yes, a former Survivor's opinion on the current season/episode is nice, but this podcast allows them to talk about what they are experts at: their own season. It's been wonderful to relive Survivor South Pacific through Sophie and Cochran's eyes, as I'm realizing how much more there was to the season than what the viewers were actually shown.
I've yet to come across ANY Survivor interview that goes as in-depth as these guys do. I'm so happy that Don and Colin have come along and have made a hard-core Survivor podcast for the hard-core Survivor fan like myself.
