“This is the ultimate thinking fan's Survivor podcast. If you find yourself scratching your head at the end of an episode, Dom and Colin are always able to break it down and suggest the possibilities you hadn't imagined. They make watching Survivor make more sense, which makes it more satisfying overall. Their disparate personalities make a great match for this, with frequent debates and "yeah, buts" that lead to thorough analysis (and make this podcast funny in a dry British/jaded Northeasterner way, even though they aren't trying too hard to bring the laughs).
In addition to the regular podcasts during Survivor and Big Brother, every retrospective they've done has been nothing short of illuminating (the one with Hatch is particularly amazing, and if you're the kind of person who thinks people like Sophie didn't deserve their wins, have a listen to her side of the story and get back to me on that). I squeal with girlish glee when I see a new one posted -- even for the most recent one at the time of this review, with BB4's Jack; I'd never even seen a single episode of BB4 or heard of him. No f-s given. It was an absolute delight.
While I adore RHAP and the Historians, it's for different reasons, and I really look forward to Dom and Colin most. Always worth the wait (that's the one minor complaint; they aren't always consistent with times and sometimes miss a week or two, but they aren't full-time podcasters like some others; I can live with it and so can you. Expect the unexpected.)
