“What was the point of that episode?”
An intriguing unknown case in the era of free love, and the queer community coming of age. However, the storytelling is very sparse. I am left wanting more and not like being in the midst of a thriller novel. After an episode I think “what was the point of that episode?” They’ll profile a victim or a detective, but without any real substance. I’ll listen to the rest of the pod but maybe I’ll wait until it’s over so I can blaze through it - hopefully they tell me something other than filler.

More reviews of The Doodler
Given how little actual content there is here—once you take out repetition & advertisements—this should have had 3 fewer episodes. The story itself, while memorable, is not memorably told.

25 minute episodes plus commercials. I wish they were more in depth like the podcast “your own backyard” about the disappearance of Kristin Smart.
