Good analysis being watered down
I was really hopeful about this podcast - great content during the Copa and the Euros. But they haven't really figured out how to put together an engaging show on a weekly basis since, and so spend a lot of time talking about 'talking about soccer', which gets fairly pedantic. The last episode (w/o 12/26) was a perfect example. They brought up Samir Nasri's Black Mirror tweetstorm (a gift to podcasters everywhere), but actually spent more time talking about WHY they should be talking about it. It's a sports podcast! We all get that sports are not actually important, and we all know that they still provide an incredible channel to talk about life. We need you to talk about how hilarious Nasri's twitter feed was, not to talk about how important it is to talk about it. The analysis, as other reviews have pointed at, is fantastic. Too many statements end with a long pause then a 'yep' from the other guy, but whatever. It's just not enough to be good analysts; this is a show, and I'm becoming less and less entertained.Read full review »

Great Soccer Analysis. One of the very few podcasts with a true analytical point view on soccer.
