Liked this podcast a lot…until the Phil Maffetone episode
I generally like this podcast but just had to come on here and write this review because this episode really annoyed me and I couldn’t finish it. Around min 35, Phil says something along the lines of “just look around at any marathon and you can see how many fat people there are that aren’t thinking about their nutrition.” He then follows this up for 20 mins or so (until I stopped listening) discussing how sugar is the devil and keto is the way to go. I wanted to know if this episode was fact checked, because many of the things he was saying about keto diets and running have been debunked in the last few years in scientific study, and to me, this sounded like a lot of rambling opinions not based in scientific fact (I am a scientist) and I wanted to send a list of sources to refute what he was putting forth as fact. I didn’t like how the interviewer (was it Robbe? not sure, sorry) just agreed with him and didn’t challenge anything. Really disappointed in this episode. I like the episodes of the Drop where they are just chatting, the shoe reviews are interesting, and it’s generally very funny. But I really question some of the interviews they’ve done lately.

I’m one of the weirdos who sticks around for the entire banter session and sometimes replays them because you guys remind me so much of me and my running buddies, and now I can cherry pick the interviews (love the athlete interviews). You guys are the perfect...Read full review »

I’ve never written a review for anything in my life but this, I’ve got to say, is worth the effort because you three have made my daily runs (short and long ones) incredibly enjoyable. I run with friends but now I’ve even stopped doing that just so that I can listen to your banter and enjoy some...Read full review »

I love this podcast, the interviews are great. The Allie Kiefer interview bothered me, she is such a talented athlete and I have been tracking her 5th place finish at the NYC marathon. She was essentially an unknown and she catapulted to an overnight sensation, so much talent but I feel she just...Read full review »
