Feels like a very wonderfully done podcast, very professional, very knowledgeable and wonderful interviews. Then the commercials are these cheeses car-salesmanesque voices and it’s very jarring and disruptive to the program. They sound like an absolute joke at first “SAVE MONEY ON THINGS YOU WERE...Read full review »

Another great case study into the “fake till you make it” mentality, which seems to be so prevalent in the US.

I enjoyed the host (important for me personally). Good story. Too bad there are too many unethical bosses and “leaders” on this world.

Of course someone would turn the life of this pathological liar and fraud Holmes, into an eloquent drama story/podcast. This woman deserves no attention whatsoever. How long until she’s accepted again and revered as a great mind??... Eff that

very interesting and well done. my only issue with it is that the background music sometimes sounds like a vibrating cellphone which sends me into a mini panic every time i hear it

This podcast was fascinating and Rebecca Jarvis is an excellent story teller. The only comment I take exception with is; “Elizabeth Holmes is highly educated.” Ms. Holmes is very intelligent, charming, attractive, persuasive and definitely narcissistic, but not highly educated in the formal...Read full review »

I first came to this podcast series at the recommendation of a friend, who said she had binged it because it was so compelling and such an incredible series. At the end of this, I agree 100%; it is one of the best podcast series I’ve ever heard. An incredible retelling of the story of Theranos...Read full review »

This podcast was amazing! I listened to it over three days and couldn’t stop. The journalism was incredible, I didn’t have any questions that weren’t answered by the last episode. The storytelling and structure was perfect, so much segmented information that always left you wanting more. This...Read full review »

This was a great podcast! I remember the story but all of these details left me shaking my head. As a consumer it will make me research any “new” test or product before I put my trust in it. Very sensationalised and at times, even somewhat petty. A staff committed suicide and they spend almost as much time on another that’s upset because she didn’t confess to him during small talk at a restaurant.

I’ve listened to a LOT of podcasts and this one bored me. A long time talking and interviewing to say the same thing (she lied) repeatedly and in great, painstaking detail. I didn’t know anything about Holmes or Theranos before and I still didn’t find this to be very enlightening or revealing.

I read John Carreyrou’s book before listening to this - and despite having heard the story before, I was still hooked! From the voice overs to the theme music, this was well put together.

You want a good PodCast? The Drop Out is the story of greed, pride, and hubris is America, as one person’s pursuit of happiness doesn’t care about the truth or integrity.

Excellent podcast about a greed and disgusting-one more- case in our society.

This podcast was superbly produced and explains in depth how the whole scam came to be and how the final debacle happened. It also exposes Elizabeth Holmes as a total sociopath with delusions of grandeur egged on by her pedigreed father. It seems obvious to me this woman was on drugs and took...Read full review »

The subject matter and format make this podcast interesting. Unfortunately several minutes of each episode are completely unintelligible because of the heavy bass and music volumes.
Enough Already1246 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/04/19
Interesting story, generally well produced. I’m not sure that the final episode featuring the anecdotes from a 6th grade “friend” are particularly relevant or necessary, but it’s an otherwise entertaining listen.

Great! Binged listened in two days. Like the investigative part that dogged deeper than the HBO doc. Just hated the popping sound in some of the segments. I kept looking around my house thinking it was something here.
