Finally gave this pod a shot as I’ve seen it in the nba search. I thought the name was lame and lazy so I stayed away. Should’ve trusted my gut, this pod is boring and overall pretty terrible. Wake up you two!!! Bang some pots together or drink a lot of coffee, something.

What is there to say? If you’re here, you know who these guys are, and it’s a perfect podcast. I would like to know who thinks of the Arrested Development-style episode titles. Because you guys are very good with witty phrases wrapped around some sort of universal saying or reference. Most...Read full review »

Nekias and Steve know basketball and their love for the game and breaking it down for fans is unparalleled. I love that they cover the W as well as the NBA. They also create an awesome and inclusive community for the Dunker Nation.

Great conduction by Nekias, excellent analysis by Steve. Chemistry is perfect. Sometimes I just have past episodes as background as it is so pleasant to hear them vibe. Update sept 28. A bit strange vibes lately.

Great commentary and coverage of the NBA and WNBA. One suggestion: Hard to produce, but if you can put this on video with some X&O diagrams on some of your analysis, this would ether all other sport shows.

great pod during the actual nba season but i’m just not interested in the wnba at all.

My favorite basketball podcast. Great analysis and personalities. Encouraging people to think about the games instead of narratives

Elite X’s and O’s analysis, but nothing beats these two scheming up free throw questions for the opposition.

Special basketball podcast— knowledgeable, informative, direct, familiar and funny with how well Nekias and Steve vibe off of each other.

The holiday mailbag episode was so good. I laughed out loud hard multiple times. Steve being hangry makes the pod great.

Great podcast for hardcore professional basketball fans. Great guests and very detailed look at the various going’s on of an NBA or WNBA season.

I think I came on board with this podcast around episode 5, and it was an immediate feeing of relief. From this distance, U.S. sports are weird to love as you have predominantly Black athletes and a predominantly white apparatus of owners, managers and commentariat that often leads the discourse...Read full review »

Use the time stamps and get out while you still like basketball and dad jokes. Get the good analysis on maybe 1 topic and save yourself 2 hours of Steve Jones Jr assaulting comedy itself. Dude is going for a bit he can’t pull off, and it’s rough and relentless with no payoff, only pain. Cringe...Read full review »

If you want excellent NBA analysis and not just hot takes, then this is the show for you. I am a smarter and more educated fan for having listened to this show. This is a must listen for anybody that is an NBA fan!

My basketball brain only grows stronger and larger with each passing episode. Nekias and Steve do a fantastic job of discussing the X and Os and opening your third basketball eye. You’ll be floating and chanting basketball plays before you know it.

Audio quality not very good. Too many categorical this or that discussions.

This is the Victor Wembanyama of podcasting. I’m not joking this podcast is generational, and it’s frustrating it took so long for me to find it. On top of having the things I look for in any of my favourite podcasts like great personality, consistency and intelligence - these guys are so unique...Read full review »

Best basketball podcast out there and the only one that can get away with upsetting an entire country. Nekias and Steve are a hilarious duo with limitless detail of the game. Elite stuff here.

Great content. Only got into the NBA 7 years ago, listening from Ireland. Entertaining listen while also getting into a lot more X’s and O’s than most podcasts. Nekias and Steve do a great job making some of the more technical analysis and breakdowns enjoyable and accessible. Keep them coming!

These guys actually talk about the ins and outs of the game and each team’s strengths and weaknesses. Not about hot takes (other than big agendas) just hoops. Crazy no teams have hired these guys yet.

I listen to all the NBA podcasts. All of them, the good, the bad, the ugly. If you are looking for a nuanced discussion of X’s and O’s, this is the one for you. Both Nekias and Steve are brilliant basketball minds that don’t just throw out hot takes, but have substance and evidence behind them....Read full review »

Some days I wish Nekias more resembled Barkley so that Steve could facetiously compare Nekias's opinions to Chuck's instead of Perk's.Read full review »

Consistently hits the sweet spot with its blend of insightful analysis and casual banter. YMMV but this IMO is one of the better basketball podcasts and I think I listen to all of them.

I love this show, you guys are very funny and the knowledgeable is phenomenal, however, there is so much talk about so many teams in the nba but no Heat talks, I wanted to hear what you guys thought of the season start and not even 5 min during the pod a bit disappointing really…

I’ve not graduated to Dunker Dad yet, still only a Dunker Husband, but I still sympathize with Steve’s point on Christmas Day game watching. Love the pod y’all, always an easy and interesting listen between two people who have wonderful chemistry.

I started listening to this podcast a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. One of the best basketball pods out there for both the die hard and casual NBA fan.
Bunker Weiss via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/06/21
The basketball analysis on this show is some of the best out there. Unfortunately it is interrupted far too often by forced “running jokes.” What realistically happens in a standard episode is 2-3 minutes of a fascinating dialogue before we get in interjection. Usually, “can I get an age check?”...Read full review »
