Binge worthy!
Having come to Australia as a teenager from the UK in 1982, 6.5 years after the dismissal I was never that familiar with the events, only Whitlam’s incredible speech. Therefore, I was keen to understand and learn more. This podcast tells an amazing story through the eyes of a diverse group of people. I was gripped by the story and the complexity of what lead to the events. The intriguing thing for me was that despite his popularity, Gough never was re-elected despite 2 elections. The fact still remains that he was a visionary and one can only imagine what Australia might have been had he been able to manage his ministers better and perhaps not as brash in his dealings with Kerr. Wonderful series!

You couldn’t invent this stuff - presented like a real page-turning novel. Thought I was across this event, but not so much... When is the next ep??

Really shone a light on a part of Australian history I didn’t know a great deal about. Well done

By an obsession with woke references and historical howlers - eg Whitlam “appointed” Cairns as Deputy PM - can an adult redo this
