Alex Mann’s rewrite
I like journalists who allow you to experience the ambiguity and surprise of history. I dislike having history interpreted and measured against the journalist’s values or current popular views. I admire journalists who after you’ve read or heard their story, you are left wondering what are their perspective or values. Alex Mann’s rewrite left me with little ambiguity, and very few surprises, but a firm idea of his perspective and values.

Both a ripping story and true history. A rollicking listen.

Fabulous podcasts. Igniting memory and the outrage at the time. The outrage persisted in others ways regarding the conduct of future governments. Treatment of asylum seekers, penalising people on centrelink payments, climate change deniers and it goes on.
