Gripping
Wow. The details we didn’t know (or glossed over at the time). I have a great respect and fondness for Gough Whitlam and met him once, however this teases out some of his foibles. He was human after all. John Menadue’s accounts from the front line are invaluable. Thank you ABC for this wonderful podcast! Had to update this.( Ep 5 )There were scandals simmering in the background affecting the Governments image and credibility , however it has become clear during this episode that it came down to a confrontation of two egos; Whitlam’s and Kerr’s.

Gripping drama, first class research and production. Love it. Can’t wait until next week!

One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to in the last year. Fantastic story, expertly told, with enough new information that they’re not simply rehashing an old controversy. A must-listen for anyone with even a passing interest in Australian politics or history.
