“I was 18 doing HSCi on the Eleventh. I was in a crowd outside Blacktown Civic @ an earlier event ?1974? with my Dad & siblings when he addressed us from the verandah. A fair minded & great orator. He got us out of the USA’s war against the Vietnamese & Medibank & advancements for women were the best. Sadly the squatocracy & entitled ruling class & wealth out manoeuvred his “people centred government”. I feel that Malcolm Fraser was impressed by the shame of the whole affair to have a complete turnaround in his outlook towards people in later years. Shame Fraser Shame. We need another Gough. Thanks for a great podcast.”
