“I used to read Empire magazine religiously when I was a media student many moons ago. I’ve been trying to get on with the podcast but I’ve finally decided to give up on it. I can’t take to any of the presenters - I find them patronising and full of their own self importance. Whilst when they actually get down to interviewing guests and reviewing films, my interest sparks, but overall I find their chatter rather inane. They spend a disproportionate amount of time talking about Marvel. Literally, every episode - MCU this, Marvel that! I’m partial to a Marvel film but there are so many other films and genres to be talking about. I’ve moved on to other film related podcasts.
On the plus side, Empire’s sister podcast, The Pilot TV podcast is great! I love this one. It’s infinitely better than Empire.”
