NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE UNDER 4 YEARS OLD BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBILITY A NIGHTMARE CAUSING THEM TO WAKE UP AT 3AM IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!

Exciting, educating, and eery! I listen with morbid fascination to the extrapolations and genuine concern for the data and facts used to effectively illustrate the reason of these projections. Most of these topics have had interesting developments since this show’s release! There is new...Read full review »

Can’t wait until they go bankrupt and liquidate assets. Worst ads on the planet. They should actually be prosecuted for how bad the ads are.

I just finished listening to the whole series straight through. Great stuff. Everything is well explained and well organized. Fact of the podcast for me was that A.I. doesn’t love me or hate me, it just was to use my atoms for something else.

It’s good so far but also sometimes it’s interesting and sometimes it’s terrifying

Extraordinarily fascinating, Astoundingly Interesting, and Unexplainably good! A beautiful masterpiece of a podcast! I would recommend it to the moon and back! Don’t fear the end of the world, it won’t make you happy.

A masterclass in podcasting. Josh’s sincerity and compassion take center stage, which elevates the topic from a science lecture into chatting with a good friend over coffee. There are no pretensions or preachings in this show - a real rarity in modern podcasting.

Things mentioned in these episodes are even more time relevant now than just a few years ago.

Beginning in 2012 I discovered how great podcasts are when your job is boring. Over the years I have listened to countless hours of podcasts, and this is the best one. No banter no jokes no cohost just interesting ideas.

I love this series so much. I was genuinely so upset when it finished. Absolutely brilliant.

Thank you, Josh. So much to turn over. This is the most thought out and well researched conversation I have heard in a long time. Well done! I keep coming back every few weeks or so to listen again. I learn more every time!

I was looking for a podcast that was discussing current issues especially on technology such as AI. This podcast is professionally produced and well researched and intriguing. A number of other podcasts have similar topics and titles and interesting guests but they are painful to listen to.

Really great in a lot of ways, definitely a more pessimistic perspective but framed as realistic or even plausible, like being diagnosed with anxiety and making a podcast about all the things I’m anxious about. I’d imagine it’d be a very different podcast if Josh had taken a couple Xanax...Read full review »

This podcast provides so much information on so many scientific areas. I definitely recommend it

I think the topics are extremely interesting but the number of ads—interspersed throughout—make it impossible to listen to.

This series is spectacular, I’m a huge fan of SYSK which is excellent. But this series is something else. Wow! Josh, what can I say!

This is honestly my favorite podcast of all time. I remember commuting to and from work a few years ago listening to this and just being in a trance with the content. The stories are so well told, and the atmosphere created with the ambient background music gives you chills. I come back every few...Read full review »

As a SYSK listener from 2008, I have enjoyed listening to Josh speak about literally anything. However the passion that emanates from every corner of this project makes it not only my favourite thing he’s ever done (Sorry Chuckers), it’s been down right influential for me as an individual. It’s...Read full review »

I just wish there was a sequel. This series digs into the science but in an approachable way. No silly pop culture detours or comedy needed, this is heavy stuff.

Intelligently planned and written. Every episode puts the topic in context, and it expands it with the newest research available. I savored it and relistened. Thank you so much for this wonderful piece of work!

This was wonderful. I’m glad I downloaded it. Even though Josh talks about some pretty scary stuff, his voice and the music is very soothing. It gave me hope in a very sad time.

The images of the JWST reminded me of the first two episodes of this podcast: so much so I wanted to relisten. I did it before with Covid, too, back in 2020. And after the sentient AI news-leak out of Google? Josh created an episode by episode prediction of 2020 on! Lord, man. Slow down. I’m not...Read full review »
