Informative and well produced - a must listen
This podcast pretty much single-handedly convinced me to leave my career in Aerospace and join the renewables industry. Informative, always up-to-date, very well produced, and entertaining, the Energy Gang is a must listen for those looking to just learn about this exciting market or veterans looking for continued insight. Perhaps one of the biggest strengths of TEG is their holistic approach to discussing issues - from Jigar Shah's (founder of SunEdison) strong finance and market perspectives to Katherine Hamilton's (Principle at 38 North Solutions) expertise in Washington politics to Steven Lacey's (Senior Editor at Greentechmedia) ability to tie these in together with his experience as a writer in this field. However, just as important are the quality and production value of TEG. There are never any episodes substituted with replays, the topics chosen are well thought out and timely, guests on the show almost always provide insightful and unique perspectives, and you really get the feeling that all 3 hosts put considerable preparation into each episode. Lastly, the podcast is entertaining. Debate amongst the co-hosts is genuine and sometimes heated and the tidbits of their personal lives is kind of nice. Sometimes people criticize the show for being too focused on solar but personally I think it's a pretty fair reflection on the actual renewables industry. Maybe a couple years from now the show will be dominated by energy storage. I'm sounding a bit like a cheerleader of the show, but it really is a great listen. I would highly recommend it to those who are casually interested in renewables to industry veterans alike.Read full review »

I work in CleanTech in Asia and this podcast is without a doubt the best if you're passionate about renewable energy. If it were a little bit less US centric I would love it even more. Highly recommended.Read full review »
