Filling my knowledge gaps
I am learning a lot from this podcast about how fundraising and philanthropy could be more racially and socially just in the USA, and how some are creating and implementing excellent changes. I hope to apply some of this new knowledge and thinking to my Canadian charity, as a donor and fundraising volunteer, and nudge my community foundation when I have chances to influence it. I keep hoping there will be episodes focussed on Indigenous peoples, eventually including all 50 states and territories. FYI, I myself am part of the ecosystem of Plant Earth, human, female, Canadian, Torontonian, white, middle-class, old and with a disability. I am a resident on Turtle Island in the area covered by the Dish with One Spoon.
