“I can't recommend this podcast highly enough. Steve and Andy (and their occasional guests) take us on a journey through the history of the Fantastic Four, issue by issue, from the very beginning. Their synopses and reviews are unsparing, quite often hilarious, and usually thought-provoking, and they are always delivered from a place of genuine love for the comics medium and the FF themselves. Not recommended for those who approach comics "ironically," but highly recommended for anyone who grew up loving comics either despite their blemishes or (at least in part) for those blemishes. All the plot holes, silly dialogue, over-wrought scripts, and downright campy characters are on full display here, but there is always a clear appreciation for the genre and its creators. Listening to these podcasts takes me back to the pure joy of reading comics as a child, while still letting me laugh at all the goofs and blunders along the way.
