“i can’t believe this isn’t getting more attention?? this is such a relevant, nuanced story about (but not limited to): a mother’s heartbreaking journey thru grief, corruption in law enforcement, Portland’s dark, racist history and the groups that formed to combat it, a thoughtful, non-naval-gaze-y take on extremism on the right and the left and it’s consequences, all told thru the vehicle of *literally* an unsolved murder mystery! like, what more do you want, people?? don’t listen to the fascist weenies in the reviews/comments (or ever), this is full of impressive and thorough local, on the ground reporting and super immersive archival. and amazing music! also, just want to say, Laura is such a fascinating person/subject/tough cookie—my heart really goes out to her. really can’t say enough good things about this. hats off to the reporters and producers!”
