Rewarding Recommendation
I’m a new Film Stage listener and I’m really enjoying the podcast thus far. I love discussing film but can rarely find people enthusiastic about the art of filmmaking to have an honest dialogue with, so listening to you guys is great. It’s really entertaining, albeit exasperating, to hear the uncensored opinions of an all male group about social and cultural topics, like grief and feminism that tend to appear in quality cinema. That being said, I absolutely loved your episode on Manchester by the Sea. It was incredibly refreshing to hear such a raw, emotion-filled discussion about a movie. You brought up very important points about the main actor and the overall theme of the film resulting in a fairly uncharacteristic podcast for you three. However, I’m also a fan of the comic relief and although I don't always agree, it's a stimulating show.
