The game reviews and descriptions are fine and good. The “woke” narratives and the “scary covid” commentary is quite honestly, triggering. We hear that nonsense at every turn in our lives. Most people are listing too gaming podcasts for escapism. Just please keep your politics and scare tactics...Read full review »

I love the idea of this podcast but some of these non binary organisms are woke to PC culture and their review has to be about their need to tell you about it. I hope they feel good saying it so at least 1 person is getting something out of it. I don't know how people can regularly mess up...Read full review »

I enjoy this podcast when I’m looking for a quick overview about a game I am curious about. They cover a wide variety of hidden gems and hotness games. The “reading out loud” format takes some getting used too as usually enjoy more genuine conversation in my podcasts. I still recommended it if...Read full review »

Started out rather strong, and I like the format of short reviews, but many of the presenters are beyond terrible. Stephanie (sp?) reads off of a script, and interjects so many “pregnant pauses” for emphasis that it is really hard to listen to her reviews. She also spends the first minute of...Read full review »

The Five By is one of the best board game podcasts precisely because of its constrained format. Five reviews of five minutes each, from five different reviewers, and nothing else. But, also, the reviews are solid, a variety of viewpoints is represented, and the audio quality is high - none of...Read full review »

I love this podcast! Five minute overviews of five board games, and they do not only focus on new releases, which is wonderful. Highly recommended for any board game fan.

Been listening to the podcast since the early episodes. Love their quick fire reviews of boardgames. They cover so much ground and are very detailed in their descriptions of the gameplay. Reviewers also express some personal opinions on the games which makes for a more authentic and organic...Read full review »

Each segment may only be five minutes, but the contributors do an amazing job of explaining the nuts and bolts of a game, along with their personal thoughts, in a way that doesn’t feel rushed or stilted. Whether they’re discussing a game you already love, or a game you’ve never played, this show...Read full review »

Board game podcast reviews are tricky and can be difficult to listen to, the five by is a shining example on how to get it right. The five minute length of the reviews is perfect for audio and you can tell each reviewer has planned their review well to make the most of their time limit. I like...Read full review »

A great idea for a 'cast - 5 folks give their quick rundowns on a game of their choice. Even though each host only gets 5 minutes, they manage to pack in great information and opinion. Thanks folks!Read full review »

Not a lot of gaming podcasts out there that hit games this fast. Live the quick concise reviews.
