Perfect football chat for British millennials
I’ve listened to this podcast for the best part of twelve years, and it’s one of my favourites. You feel like you’re listening in on 4+ mates talking and joking about the sport they love. Each person has a unique personality that works well in combo with others. It does have a British mainstream millennial male vibe to it (self-referential witty banter, the deliberate juxtaposition of intelligent discussion with low-level ‘banter’, nostalgia for the 90s etc.) which might not be to everyone’s tastes, but are definitely to mine. For me, it did peak in the first half of the 2010s with the original 4 and hasn’t quite hit those heights again. However, that could equally be a reflection on my age and stage at that time. It still definitely retains enough of what I originally loved to keep me listening weekly. Highly recommended for football enjoyers.

In a nutshell this is a bunch of lads talking football like you would in a pub. Totally agree about the comments...Read full review »
