Would rate higher but for Kilbane
Joe, Nathan, Eoin, Dan MacDonald & Kenny Cunningham are outstanding, well balanced and considered analysts, and thinkers of the why’s behind what happens in the beautiful game. Kilbane, on the other hand, is a blowhard. He has invariably* failed to provide any insight or thought-provoking commentary that justifies listening to him. He routinely over-emphasises “body shape” when attempting to provide technical insight. He repeats points, sometimes even verbatim, as a means to reinforce a poorly considered perspective. He invariably misuses the word “invariably” (he’s never once used it appropriately). But more importantly, he’s moralised about playing for Ireland (under the rationale that “I’m Ireland’s most-capped player”), all the while compartmentalising he didn’t love playing for Ireland too much when he missed his penalty against Spain in 2002. Not so Irish then. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿”☘️” 😉 Keep up the great work Joe, Nathan, Dan, Eoin & Kenny.

More reviews of OTB Football
Excellent work from Ken Early - far more unbiased a footie pundit than the Guardian's blinkered outfit. Ger Gilroy is a waste of space though - repeating blather from the tabloids, passing off perceived "wisdom" and generally spouting nonsense. Looking forward to Eoin getting back.Read full review »

My favorite show on radio by a distance. The daft banter between the boys adds a light touch too. Great analysis. Love it.

Like all good talk show radio, off the ball has that essential mix of informative analysis coupled with a good dollop of witty banter! Truely a highlight of my day as any avid listener will testify to. Keep up the good work!
