Early Friday morning, Israel conducted a "limited" strike on Iran in retaliation for Tehran firing a barrage of missiles and drones at the country last Saturday. Reports suggest Iran doesn't have immediate plans to respond to the most recent attack. However, U.S. lawmakers fear a wider Mideast war is on the horizon, with the House proposing several bills throughout the week. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) faces pushback from some House GOP members who feel that Congress should not pass the bill without including provisions for the Southern border. Speaker Johnson's fate lies in the hands of the vote, with some Congressional Republicans threatening to oust him.
